ThePGY-2 Infectious Disease Residency Program is an organized, directed postgraduate training program that centers on developing the competencies necessary to provide pharmacist care to patients with infectious diseases. The resident will receive well-rounded training experience that will enable the resident to succeed in the areas of service, teaching, and scholarly activities. Most of the resident’s clinical experiences will be on the infectious diseases consult team. The resident will also complete experiences or rotations in clinical microbiology laboratory, antimicrobial stewardship, critical care unit,HIVClinic, and on the bone marrow transplant service. Additional elective experiences can be scheduled to meet the resident’s interests. The resident will actively participate on the Antimicrobial Stewardship Subcommittee of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and will gain experience in formulary development and evidence-based decision making.
