The University of Pittsburgh department of Infectious Diseases and Microbiology is seeking a qualified Clinical Nurse Educator. Incumbent will be responsible for planning, implementation and evaluation of training programs, technical assistance, and other related activities related to the grants, contracts and initiatives of the MAAETC (MidAtlantic AIDS Education and Training Center). Participates in relevant committees, planning groups as needed both internal and external to the University of Pittsburgh to establish relationships with faculty, groups, agencies and organizations.
The Clinical Nurse Educator functions as a health educator with formal programs, clinical training, and consultation to a variety of providers, agencies, and programs and required to travel throughout the 6 state region. The Clinical Nurse Educator will be responsible for developing the agenda, syllabus and evaluation design for training programs. Also, will be responsible for the development of specific curricula for specific audiences, agencies and providers. Required to utilize both direct and distance based educational methodologies in delivering training programs, and technical assistance, and will recruit faculty for training programs.
The Clinical Nurse Educator will be responsible for coordination of logistics, travel, materials, schedules, agendas for meetings, conferences, work-ships and related events for grants, contracts and initiatives. Must provide on-site coordination of training events including coordination of faculty presenters. Travels throughout the 6 state region to conduct training, needs assessments, and to participate in meeting and other related work. Responsible for preparing reports, summaries, and documents related to training, consultation, technical assistance, and process and outcome evaluation. Participates in the implementation of evaluation and research activities for grants, contracts and initiatives.

Additional Education And/or Experience Essential To the Position: Minimum of MSN , will consider a bachelor's degree with at least three years of relevant work experience. Must have computer and typing skills.
