Duties and Responsibilities: Duties and ResponsibilitiesConduct research in the lab of Dr. Francis Alonzo Dr. Francis Alonzo's laboratory is seeking a devoted and collaborative research associate to conduct cutting-edge research focused on Staphylococcus aureus pathogenesis. The research associate will be trained to study the virulence characteristics of S. aureus using biochemical, immunological, and cell biological approaches, and will use relevant experimental disease models in their research. The research associate will be expected to conduct research, contribute to publications, participate in journal clubs, seminars and other academic training experiences, and to communicate research findings to the group and present at local and national conferences.
Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in the field of microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or cell biology. Experience in bacteriology, animal models of infectious disease and/or microbiome research is preferred.
