Regional Laboratory Supervisor
In this role, you will supervise the operations of a regional laboratory service (hematology, chemistry, microbiology, core lab, cytology, transfusion service, molecular, etc.). You will supervise laboratory staff performing moderate and high complexity laboratory tests and will ensure the delivery of high quality, effective information to all providers and health plan staff. You will be responsible for researching options and leading the effort toward continuous improvement in the quality of laboratory services. In addition, you will serve as a regional resource and technical operational liaison in your specialty to pathologists, providers, and facility laboratories, in the Mid-Atlantic States Region.
At least six years of full-time comprehensive laboratory experience in high complexity testing
At least two years of supervisory experience preferred
The ability to meet CLIA ’88 qualifications for a general supervisor of high complexity testing with at least four years of experience in a specialty department
A bachelor’s degree in medical technology or a related field (hematology, chemistry, microbiology, core lab, cytology, transfusion service, molecular); a master’s degree is preferred
High school diploma or GED
Medical Technologist (ASCP, Cytotechnologist (ASCP), or equivalent certification
Specialty certification preferred
