Tri-County Veterinary Services is a growing mixed animal practice that services the local pet animal and farm animal community. While we consider ourselves a rural country practice, we are located only 40 minutes from Harrisburg and also draw many clients from that suburbia. Our equipment includes CBC & chemistry machines, in-house and portable ultrasound, dental equipment electro-cautery, and microbiology lab. We are currently in the middle of a building expansion project of which digital X-ray will be included. We love our pleasant and friendly staff and seek to go above and beyond the routine medicine and surgery that may be common in similar rural practices. (See our practice profile.) Our 4 doctor practice sees a wide variety of cases and is a team-oriented group that is looking for a knowledgeable yet willing-to-learn associate. Special interests are encouraged. A strong work ethic and friendly demeanor are essential.
This is a full-time position working with small animals +/- large animals(bovine/equine/small ruminants). The starting salary may range from $71,000 to $95,000 depending on experience and work schedule. We also offer health and professional liability insurance, CE, and membership to professional organizations.
This associate would see appointments one evening per week and one Saturday per month, but receive one morning off per week. The ideal candidate would be willing to share some "on call" time but this is negotiable. This could be a good opportunity for someone interested in ownership.

Additional Salary Information: Health and Professional Liability Insurance, CE expenses, 2 membership association dues, two weeks paid vacation, 2 days CE paid time away, and 1 paid sick day. SIMPLE retirement plan after 2 years.
We are a 4-doctor mixed veterinary practice in central Pennsylvania that serves a rural community but is only 40 minutes from Harrisburg. The practice is about 60% small animal, 24% dairy, 12% equine, and a few small ruminants and whitetail deer. We do not treat birds or reptiles. Regarding the small animal work, beyond the usual routine appointments, surgeries, and dentals, we tend to do a f...air amount of dog reproduction including C-sections and an occasional artificial insemination for local small time breeders. We offer a broad repertoire of surgeries including feline perineal urethrostomy, canine urethrostomy, entropian, grid keratotomy, ACL surgery, FHNE, and orthopedics using pins and wires. We manufacture culture plates and do 95% of our own microbiology lab work. Our equipment consists of portable and in house ultrasound, 2 Abaxis VS2 chemistry machines, an Abaxis HM5 hematology machine, and a Tonopen. We currently are building an addition to the practice and when finished we will replace our manual X-ray with digital X-ray. The dairy services include general herd health, reproduction and ultrasound, mastitis culturing and consulting, and common surgeries. The equine services include general equine health, reproductive services such as ultrasound and AI breeding, and emergency field services for colic and injuries. Doctors will generally work small animal appointments one evening per week and one Saturday per month.
