This Medical Tech position is every weekend evenings 1400- 2230 and every other Friday 1000-1830. With shift differentials you will make $5 more per hour on the weekends in this position.
The clinical laboratory services at Good Samaritan Medical Center works as a team in a fast paced, detail oriented hospital setting which includes inpatient and outpatient services. Medical laboratory scientists perform testing in all departments including blood bank, hematology, chemistry, microbiology and specimen processing. The laboratory is staffed 24/7.

Works under the supervision of the Manager of Laboratory Services and/or the Microbiology Manager. Performs and interprets designated test procedures in the Rapid Response Laboratory, Blood Bank, and Microbiology as trained. Responsible for adhering to regulations as issued by CAP, AABB, FDA, OSHA and any other applicable regulatory agencies. Performs a variety of laboratory duties following established procedures, protocols and guidelines of the department and/or organization. Performs quality control, trains new employees, adheres to hospital policies, takes part in continuing education and maintains positive interpersonal relationships. Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelorâ??s degree in Medical Technology or an appropriate science program from an accredited college or university, or equivalent, required
ASCP certification, required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, required
