Administer and support programs or functions under general supervision.
Facilitate and lead key R&DE Stanford Dining projects and programs with Stanford faculty engaged in food system research which has practical benefits and is in support of Stanford Universitys academic, research and teaching goals. R&DE current food system programs include MCURC/BBL collaboratives, R&DE institutes, teaching kitchen, sustainable, culinary and nutrition educational programs.
Work to set long-term (one to two years) and short-term (monthly and quarterly) goals for the working groups, along with specific process objectives and outcome objectives for reaching those goals.
Assign tasks and leadership roles to members for specific projects to ensure that projects and project sub-components move forward in line with agreed upon timelines.
Lead production of the following:
Research reports, journal article submissions, manuscripts, and potentially grant proposals;
Content development, layouts, figures/tables, and data files;
Presentation decks, including outlines/key messages as well as slides;
Writing/editing and data validation; reference sections; and maintaining records of journal submission and other written research material
Develops processes, structures, and tools for project management. Sets clear expectations of the intended outcomes, timelines, and deliverables of each project. Facilitate and manage the progress toward reaching those goals.
Independently implement, administer and evaluate day-to-day activities of the unit, function or program. Act as key contact.
Collect and analyze data, create reports, review and explain trends; formulate and evaluate alternative solutions and/or recommendations to achieve the goals of the program or function.
Analyze and interpret policies; develop, revise and implement procedures for program or function.
Represent the program or function within the department, unit or school. May also represent the program or function to external constituencies.
Organize and/or participate in outreach activities that may include communications, events, training, and/or conferences. May participate in the development of budgets or oversee budgets and monitor and approve expenditures.
May direct staff to perform various tasks and assignments. May also supervise staff.
Education & Experience:
Bachelors degree in food science, food systems, health, or communications-related field and three years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.

Prefer relevant experience in food systems or health-related communications, documented success in applying for grants and proven track record of publications in reputable journals
Familiarity with food system and statistical terminology.
Rarely lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh 11-20 pounds.
