The Department of Biology at Hobart and William Smith Colleges invites applications for a one-year position of Visiting Assistant Professor. This is a full-time position with teaching responsibilities for the 2017-18 academic year (start date is July 1, 2017). The teaching responsibilities include a topics-based introductory biology course in fall 2017, and an upper-level course with two laboratory sections in both fall 2017 and spring 2018. The introductory course topic and upper-level course will be based on the candidate's area of expertise. Candidates with expertise in microbiology or physiology are particularly encouraged to apply.
Qualifications: Ph.D. and college-level teaching experience preferred, but ABD will be considered.
