Essential Functions: Support the Director in providing Core facility information including facility and staff descriptions, usage and budget information to be used in external grant submissions. Responsible for day to day oversight of the laboratory staff activity, design and implementation of in vivo studies, and annual training requirements, and maintenance/acquisition of in vivo related procedures and skill sets that will extend Core services and enhance researcher productivity. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: overseeing staffing, developing policies and procedures as they are related to the Core, managing the laboratory facilities, and ensuring humane animal care and use and laboratory safety compliance. This position also requires strict adherence to all federal, state, local and institutionally mandated animal care and use regulations, policies and guidelines as reviewed and approved by the WSU Institutional Animal Care.
Qualifications: Ph.D. Required with experience in a biological or laboratory science.
