Position Summary: The Division of Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine within the Department of Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine is seeking two Pediatric Pulmonologists with complementary clinical and research expertise for leadership roles in cystic fibrosis, exercise testing and athletic performance, pulmonary hypertension, and/or rare lung diseases.
The division provides inpatient and outpatient pediatric pulmonary specialty care to children with highly complex medical and surgical problems, including children with asthma, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, bronchiectasis, diffuse lung disease, congenital lung disorders, cystic fibrosis (CF), obstructive and restrictive lung diseases, pulmonary hypertension, and technology dependent children.
The comprehensive, growing, multi-specialty practice at the Mayo Clinic Childrenâ??s Center includes Aerodigestive, Neuromuscular, Cystic Fibrosis, Sleep Medicine, ventilator dependence and asthma programs. The bronchoscopy program is very active and provides diagnostic and interventional procedures. There is ready access to advanced diagnostic modalities including full pulmonary function testing, cardiopulmonary exercise testing, and polysomnography. The department has an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program.
Licensure or Certification: Candidates must be board-certified/board-eligible in pediatric pulmonology, have excellent clinical and teaching skills, and experience in basic, clinical or translational research or quality improvement.
