This Position is Full-Time, 64 hours pay period (bi-weekly) Day Shift
Summary Infection Preventionist
Coordinates, implements and evaluates the organization's infection prevention and control program.
Coordinates the development and evaluation of the organization's infection prevention and control strategies, policies, and planning.
Collects and performs statistical analysis, interpretation and dissemination of healthcare acquired infection data, including risk assessment, surveillance priorities, and outcomes analysis.
Monitors local, state and federal regulations and ensures compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies' standards and requirements.
Assists with the development of educational resources and initiatives. Monitors research and developments in the field of infection prevention and control to identify best practices.
Bachelor's degree in Epidemiology, Nursing, Microbiology, Medical Technology or related field.
5 years of related experience
Certified in Infection Control (CIC) by the Certification Board of Infection Control & Epidemiology (CBIC) preferred.
