Essential Functions: We are seeking an outstanding individual for a position as postdoctoral fellow/ research scientist/ research associate available in Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary and Critical care. Major focus in our research laboratory is investigating the mechanism of immunological lung diseases. We work with human derived cells and stable cell line. Another main focus of the lab is to elucidate the role of in immunity, and integrate novel post-transcriptional circuits with well established signaling and transcriptional networks. Further interests include development of specific biomarkers related to lung diseases.
Qualifications: Applications should have at least master degree in Immunology, Microbiology, Pathology, biochemistry or PhD in related fields. The candidate is expected to be a highly motivated, creative, and independent fast learner with a strong work ethic, excellent organizational, writing and communication skills, and critical thinking abilities. Candidates must be able to design and execute experiments that address important questions in biology that will ultimately lead to improvements in human health.Beside the conventional molecular biological techniques, the successful candidates should have knowledge and experience in T7 phage display library, biopanning and immunoscreening as well as interest in analyzing RNA-seq and ChIP-seq data.
