The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences seeks qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Director of the Center for Crops Utilization Research (CCUR). This position will report to the Director of CCUR. The Assistant Director will support the Director with implementing the CCUR strategic plan and daily operations. This will include: initiate, recruit and maintain contact with industry and academic collaborators; negotiate and process contracts, rental agreements and non-disclosure agreements for projects; and coordinate projects with other campus centers (e.g., BEI, BCRF, CIRAS and others).
The Assistant Director will assist with preparation of research grant applications submitted to federal, state and industry funding agencies and oversee the work of funded projects. The Assistant Director will develop educational materials for industry-focused workshops and training programs related to the work and capacity of CCUR. The Assistant Director will serve as a spokesperson for CCUR and provide overviews of operations for the public, industry, government and academic visitors. The Assistant Director will supervise the Facility Supervisor who oversees the CCUR laboratories and pilot plants.
This is a three year term position with annual performance reviews. All accrued vacation must be used during term of appointment or will be forfeited.
