introductory courses in Nutrition and Wellness. The incumbent would be expected to teach courses that would include, but are not limited to:
HERS 204 - Personal and Community Health
HERS 205 - Nutrition for Lifetime Wellness
Advanced level nutrition courses such as Global Foods and/or Lifespan Nutrition
Instruct courses in varied locations, at varied times, and via various media commensurate with department and university needs.
Engage in scholarly research or creative achievement to enhance knowledge of field.
Provide evidence of continuing preparation and study in the field to enhance teaching abilities.
Contribute to student growth and development including student advising.
Support Winona State University's mission to enhance the intellectual, social, cultural and economic vitality of the people and communities we serve. Provide service to the university and community including the program, department, college, university and greater community.
Assist in the development of a nutrition focused curriculum.
Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Science or similar degree
Demonstrated commitment to quality teaching.
Teaching experience at the university level in the areas of Nutrition and Wellness
Skills/ability to integrate technology to enhance learning and teaching.
Experience demonstrating food preparation to groups/classes
Experience developing undergraduate nutrition courses and program development
Experience in teaching both face to face and online delivery of content
Demonstrated success in grant writing, research and other scholarly activities
Experience partnering/collaborating within the university & community
