Dabney S. Lancaster Community College is now accepting applications for an instructor of Biology to begin Fall 2020. This is a regular 9-month, teaching faculty position. DSLCC is a member of the Virginia Community College System and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. Duties and Responsibilities: â¢ Teach assigned lecture and lab in biology, anatomy & physiology and/or microbiology. â¢ Meet instructional design and delivery expectations including designing learning activities and materials that facilitate student engagement, active learning, critical thinking, and achievement of prescribed course outcomes. â¢ Meet instructional effectiveness expectations including participation in General Education program assessment activities. â¢ Meet scholarly and creative engagement expectations including fulfillment of professional development appropriate for the natural sciences. â¢ Meet services expectations including providing support for academic advising activities and/or tutoring, serving on college committees and workgroups, and providing service to the community â¢ Provide instruction on the Main Campus (Clifton Forge), Rockbridge Regional Center (Buena Vista), and/or online, and â¢ Hold regular office hours
