Screen and enroll subjects for a federally-funded study in a medical intensive care unit hospital setting; obtain informed consent from study subjects or their proxies; collect and coordinate specimen collection (anatomical and environmental swabs) with both hospital and laboratory staff; ensure protocol compliance; data abstraction from medical records; data entry, maintain patient and data tracking system, and chart preparation; participate in the development of study materials and procedures; participate in weekly research team meetings. This position also involves collection and coordination of biological samples with transport to the microbiology laboratory as well as coordination of study activities with laboratory staff and study data management team. This position reports directly to the study’s project manager. This position requires flexibility to work occasional nights/weekends. This position is for one year only
