Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey is seeking a motivated Temporary Research Assistant for the Department of Microbiology, Biochemistry & Molecular Genetics within the New Jersey Medical School.
The Temporary Research Assistant(s) will pursue efforts at developing and testing of a quantitative PCR assay for donated blood samples and assist PI and other personnel in the laboratory in samples’ analysis, as needed.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Participate in different studies ongoing in the laboratory.
Help PI and other people in the laboratory in infected mouse tissues preparation and analysis.
Assist and/or oversee all technical and experimental procedures under the project.
Compile, analyze and maintain all data related to research activities.
Review scientific literature to keep abreast of new developments related to research activities.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree with Biology major, with some experience in working in a Biological laboratory.
