The Division of Surgical Oncology focuses on the surgical management of tumors and especially cancerous tumors. Our faculty operate within the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute and are recognized as international leaders in personalized medicine, diagnostics and cancer research.
This Research Assistant 2 position will be a critical member of the burgeoning Eil lab studying tumor immunology and T cell signaling in the tumor microenvironment.
Dr. Eil is a surgeon-scientist with a track record of leading discovery in this rapidly evolving and exciting field (Eil R, et al. Nature 2016, PMID 27626381; Eil R, et al Science 2019, PMID 30923193). Dr. Eil will be matriculating to OHSU to start his laboratory in August, 2020. Candidates will be interviewed leading up to this time in anticipation of a fast-moving start to investigation.
This position would be an ideal opportunity to establish a long-term relationship guiding role in the direction of a lab in early phases. The Eil lab will grow significantly over the next several years. Bachelor's Degree with major courses in the field of research; OR Associate's Degree and at least three years of experience
