A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. William DePaolo in the Division of Gastroenterology, Department of Medicine at the University of Washington. This is a full-time position on an annual, 12 month appointment. DePaolo Lab aims to explore the how intestinal perturbations caused by genetics and/or environmental factors (e.g., diet, infection, pollution) alter its microbial landscape and to use this knowledge to develop strategies and therapies to treat human disease. You should also understand and value the difference between writing for grants, manuscripts, posters, etc. In addition to writing, you should be able to design impactful visual presentations and posters for lab meetings, work-in-progress meetings, poster sessions, and symposia on a local and national level.
