Supports Food Processing Center (FPC) Service Center activities across a variety of areas; schedule and oversee the production of co-manufactured products in the pilot plant and dairy plant, actively recruit and secure co-manufacturing contracts to improve utilization of FPC facilities, serve on the FPC Food Safety team, support pilot plant and dairy plant management on projects as needed, support other FPC personnel in critical projects.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in food science and technology, biological systems engineering, mechanized systems management, or related field plus three years of experience in any combination of the following: operation of food processing equipment in a pilot plant or related food industry experience with some laboratory experience. Basic understanding of unit operations in food processing, food chemistry, food microbiology, good manufacturing practices (GMPs), and statistics. Basic data collection, analysis, and report writing skills.
Master’s degree in food science and technology, biological systems engineering, mechanized systems management, or related field. Startup experience with food and/or non-food ventures is desired. Experience operating dairy and pilot plant equipment. Advanced knowledge of unit operations in food processing, food chemistry, food microbiology, good manufacturing practices (GMPs), and statistics. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Posted Salary: $38,000/yr. minimum
