The Laboratory Assistant receives clients, performs blood collection and processes specimens and blood tests.
The Lab Assistant serves as a customer service representative for the lab on the telephone and in dealing with each and every patient or customer.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Phlebotomy Certification preferred but not required.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Experience: 2 years experience preferred.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities: Ability to draw blood with precision and comfort for the ageof all patients to be served including geriatrics, adults, adolescent,children, pre-school, toddlers and infants. Ability to prioritize test results andcommunication of results. Ability to use computer to enter and locate specimens andtest results, ability to follow up on any problems locating samples or results.
