Hiring Salary Range: $51,252.35 - $62,000.00/Annually
THIS IS A GRANT FUNED POSITION
Job Summary/Essential Job Functions: Under the direction of the an assigned supervisor, this position assists design and conduct experiments for a continuous research project that involves studying various immune cell receptor signaling and acute and chronic inflammatory diseases in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Biochemistry.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plans experiments (designs and prepares experiments and writes procedures, protocols, and lab notes), records and analyzes data, and participates in lab meetings.
- Conducts assigned research projects and experiments related to the study of protein-protein interactions and molecular mechanisms.
- Assists in the design, manuscript, and grant writing of the research project.
- Analyzes and consolidates research data and records.
- Oversees/assists graduate students, research assistants, and postdoctoral fellows research projects and experiments.
- Conducts routine laboratory operations (reagent preparation, supply inventory, supply order, equipment maintenance, clean and organize lab, etc.) and animal colony management.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
