The Department of Microbiology and Immunology and the Center for Immunology at Cornell University invite applications from scientists focused on Molecular or Cellular Immunology for multiple tenure-track positions at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor levels. These recruitments are part of the Cornell Provost's Radical Collaborations initiative designed to bring to the Ithaca campus individuals who work at the cutting edge of their discipline and who will contribute new insights to our scientific community. We are seeking outstanding investigators who use innovative approaches to study innate or adaptive immunity, including but not limited to host-microbe interactions, mucosal immunity, tumor immunology, neuro-immunology, autoimmunity and vaccines. Candidates with interests in high-dimensional genomic and imaging approaches are particularly encouraged to apply.
Successful candidates will join a highly interactive group of faculty within the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, located in the College of Veterinary Medicine. Research strengths include host-microbe interactions, innate immunity, T and B cell development and effector function, novel vaccine design, immunodiagnostics, and immune-engineering. Cornell University offers exceptional technical resources in many areas, with state-of-the-art core facilities, including genomics, proteomics and metabolomics, flow cytometry, multiphoton microscopy, and in vitro BSL3 and animal ABSL3 facilities. Cornell maintains a strong commitment to interdisciplinary studies spanning multiple departments, and sustains many integrative cross-campus initiatives between Cornell University and Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City.
