The Connor lab is seeking an experienced technician. The candidate will be a proactive, organized, and helpful in a dynamic research laboratory at the NEIDL. Position responsibilities include laboratory organization and regular ordering.
Experimental responsibilities will include:
Helping carry out ongoing experiments that include testing antiviral small molecules, evaluating diagnostic platforms, developing lab-on-a-chip methods.
Work will inolve testing on multiple viruses.
Experiments will regularly involve rtPCR, western blotting, immunofluorescence microscopy an individual virus microscopy.
Regular tasks will will include virus growth and stock maintenance and cell culture.
The laboratory carries out BSL3 work, and experience or interest in BSL3 work is seen as a plus.
Bachelor's degree required
1-3 years of experience
