Salary Range: Dependent on Education/Qualifications
A Postdoctoral Associate position is available in Dr. Cary Moody's lab in the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at UNC-Chapel Hill. This position is for a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual with a strong background in molecular/cellular biology, virology, immunology, and/or related field. Research topics include investigation into the molecular mechanisms by which cancer-associated human papillomaviruses (HPV) manipulate DNA repair pathways and avoid innate immune responses to promote viral replication and persistence, a major risk factor for cancer development. Additional projects are available to investigate mechanisms by which the HPV life cycle is epigenetically regulated. Candidates with experience in virology and/or immunology are strongly encouraged to apply.
