The Department of MicrobialPathogenesis at the School of Dentistry, University of Maryland, Baltimore isseeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to work on novel signalingmechanisms that lead to resistance of cell wall reactive antibiotics in Staphylococcusaureus. The successful candidate willwork with a highly enthusiastic and collaborative group of scientists who usemultidisciplinary approaches to understand basic mechanistic principles ofstaphylococcal pathogenesis with the goal of identifying better/newer ways totreat bacterial infections.

Qualifications
Interested individuals with a PhD, MD orequivalent degree, with prior experience working in the field of medicalmicrobiology and having proven technical skills related to protein chemistryincluding mass spectrometry, protein purification and Western blotting areencouraged to apply. In addition tohaving the above-mentioned skillset, the successful candidate should alsopossess a rigorous mindset, a go-getter and can-do mentality, an ability towork in a team setting and be detail oriented.
