Develop genome-scale libraries for genotype-phenotype mapping of candidate probiotic chassis organisms. Screen libraries against a variety of conditions and use high throughput sequencing to rapidly identify gene products that enhance desired phenotypes. Communicate results in both written and oral format. Specific responsibilities include experimental design, execution and troubleshooting; rigorous data analysis; review of relevant scientific literature; adherence to safe laboratory procedures; supervision of graduate and undergraduate researchers; preparation and review of manuscripts and presentations; assisting the PIs in the preparation of technical reports and intellectual disclosures.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
PhD in Chemical or Biological Engineering, Microbiology, or related field.
