Under the direction of the Department Manager, this position serves as the Operational Liaison and Coordinator between the HR Service Center and two departments and ORU: Cell & Tissue Biology, Microbiology & Immunology, and Hooper Foundation.
The individual serves as the central coordinator for facilitating and improving the Departments' human resources needs and obligations in collaboration with the HR Service Center regarding academic, post-doctoral, and staff personnel transactions, such as: recruitment, merits, promotions, leaves, equity reviews, visas, compensation, benefits, and terminations. The individual provides other HR liaison related duties as necessary and independently works in conjunction with the departments' Department Manager, Admin Officer 3 and HR Service Center.
The individual ensures that the review and authorization requirements of the departments are met; provides background information to the Finance Analysts, Department Manager, and Chair of personnel actions requested by the faculty and staff; provides first line analysis of requests, facilitates the receipt of appropriate documentation and departmental approvals and submission of actions to designated Service Centers; and serves as the point of contact on communications, maintains departmental records, and provides related support as assigned.
