This position provides general administrative support for the undergraduate and graduate educational program and also accounting and financial control/support in the Department of Food Science at the UT Institute of Agriculture located in Knoxville.
Position maintains financial records according to university policies and procedures for the department. Position oversees records management for purchasing, invoices, procurement cards, assets and cash deposits. Performs administrative and accounting duties that require specialized knowledge, experience, and abilities. Handles equipment and software inventory.
Responsible for maintaining student records and email lists. Provide clerical support to undergraduate, graduate, and scholarship coordinators. Coordinate and organize student events. Provide assistance to faculty and other support personnel regarding judging teams, course materials, student events and club activities. Schedules and coordinates exit interviews for graduating students.
Maintain alumni database. Complete and retain enrollment reports, surveys, and questionnaires relating to the College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources. Must maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
This position works in conjunction with Food Science administrative staff and will be cross-trained to perform other duties, such as some HR functions, to serve as back-up to existing personnel. In addition will provide support to the Creamery Manager regarding HR duties. Perform other duties as needed.
