Job Description

The Washington University of St. Louis (WUSTL) is seeking a post-doctoral fellow to conduct research in support of the objectives of the Department of Radiation Oncology.

The fellow may develop: 1) Image reconstruction and analysis programs, and 2) pulse sequence programs for various MRIs and MRI-guided radiation therapy system (MR-IGRT).

We have active clinical research in 4D MRI, multislice cines, target tracking, and machine learning based image generation.

Human subject research imaging will be primarily conducted on Radiation Oncologyâ™s Philips 1.5 T MRI and ViewRay 0.35 T MRI-Linac, and the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiologyâ™s Center for Clinical Imaging Research (CCIR) Siemens 3 T MRIs. 

The fellow must comply with WUSTLâ™s stringent laboratory safety requirements, policies, and procedures including human subject protection training (CITI) and MRI safety.

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. in physics, biomedical engineering, medical physics, or computer science.
• Strong programming skills.
• Software experience with C/C++, MATLAB/IDL/Python, and/or TensorFlow/PyTorch.
• Self-motivated and excited about working in an interactive research team environment.
• Ability to work independently and professionally.
• Good writing and communications skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with machine/deep learning programming.
• Experience with MRI pulse sequence programming.

Salary Range

Base pay is commensurate with experience.
