Medical Technologist - Relocation/Recruitment Incentive / EDRP
The Medical Technologist with the Pathology and Laboratory Service of the VA Medical Center perform more complex laboratory functions. The work performed is in a variety of laboratory disciplines, such as Blood Bank including normal and abnormal testing, Coagulation, Hematology, Chemistry and Microbiology. Serves as a semi-specialist in medical technology with responsibility for performing procedures in the areas of Blood Bank, Hematology/Coagulation, Chemistry, Microbiology and Evening shift. The duties include but are not limited to: Evaluates and solves problems related to collection and processing of biological specimens for analysis taking into account physiologic processes and requirements. Maintains and documents the optimal functioning of laboratory equipment.
