This position is with our Microbiology Center of Excellence Department
Here is some of what you can expect from being a Medical Technologist with us:
You will perform all technical procedures in accordance with all standards set by HCA and applicable regulatory agencies including CAP, JCAHO, CLIA, AABB and OSHA
You will maintain knowledge of all procedures and protocols
You will maintain proficiency in performance of technical procedures
You will assist in testing for patients with varying degrees of clinical conditions and different acuity levels
You will assist in testing for for all age ranges from newborns to geriatric patients
Qualifications you will need for this role:
Current MLT (ASCP) certification or equivalent required
Bachelor’s degree in related science
Minimum of two years clinical Microbiology experience is preferred
Makes independent decisions quickly and accurately
Consistently performs multiple tasks and assignments independently
Ability to assess specimen quality and validity of culture results
