Accountable for involvement in fieldwork in the northern Gulf of Mexico, and lab work and data analysis at Colgate University. The research associate will work closely with Paul Harnik, Assistant Professor of Geology, and a team of undergraduate students to collect and process samples of seafloor sediment and will use these to investigate the responses of marine mollusks to natural and anthropogenic environmental change. Accountable for engaging in mentored research and other activities that position them for success in their chosen career path.
Accountable for adherence to Colgate University's laboratory safety policies, practices, and procedures that ensure a safe learning environment for students, staff and faculty. Accountable for staying current with relevant regulations (e.g. health, safety, care, and otherwise) and availing oneself of relevant training offered by Colgate's EH&S office.

B.A. or B.S. degree by start date, with a major or background in geology, biology, environmental science, or related disciplines.
