The Cell Biology Department is seeking a Research Technologist who will carry out numerical simulations of PDE-based and agent-based models for cell biology systems, which will be in close collaborations with the experimental testing by Prof. Jie Xiao's lab.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include developing numerical codes, computer simulations of the PDEs-based and agent-based model and providing the numerical results and plots.
The first project will focus on the spatial-temporal modeling on the role of mechanics and topology in controlling DNA transcription.
Minimum Qualifications (Mandatory):
Bachelor's Degree in Biophysics or related field.

They must have knowledge of basic numerical computation, cell and molecular biology, and understand experimental design and basic laboratory safety.

Develop sophisticated numerical code in C.
