Assistant Professional Researcher in Molecular Gut Physiology and Microbiology
The Departments of Microbiology and Plant Pathology and Molecular, Cell & Systems Biology at the University of California invites applicants for a full-time Assistant Professional Researcher in Molecular Gut Physiology and Microbiology to conceive and conduct research for the laboratories of Drs. James Borneman and Frances Sladek. The purpose of this position is to determine the molecular basis (host, microbes, and their interactions) of diet-induced obesity, diet-induced diabetes, diet-induced inflammatory bowel disease, and the role of the gut microbiome and the liver in these diseases.
