To that end the faculty of the Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry represent diverse research interests that include structure and synthesis of proteins and nucleic acids, gene organization and regulation, cell signaling, immunology and host pathogen interactions, biochemical genetics, cell and developmental biology, microbiology and virology. Under supervision of the PI, the incumbent will provide technical support for the lab, and perform routine experimental activities. Compensation Range:$20.64 - $22.28 Department Website:https://mbb.bio.uci.edu/ Required:Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Basic computer skills. Laboratory research experience in a biochemistry/molecular biology laboratory. Experience maintaining and/or preparing cell cultures and protein samples for mass spectrometry. Ability to carry out independent laboratory research procedures. Experience maintaining instrumentation. Experience performing bioinformatics tasks. Experience with general laboratory maintenance. Ability to perform duties with care, focus and strong attention to detail. Preferred:Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences. Final candidate subject to background check.
