Schedule Details : This position is a 0.5 FTE, 2nd shift position and will work 2nd shift hours 2:30pm-11:00pm/3:00pm-11:30pm, This position includes a weekend rotation. Weekend hours will vary-6:30pm-3:00am/3:00pm-11:30pm/11:30am-8:00pm. Holidays are 2 per year based on a rotation. Current start time may vary in the future based on business needs. This position will rotate between all laboratory departments(Hematology/Coagulation, Chemistry/Urinalysis and Blood Bank). All training, approximately 12 weeks (FT), will be scheduled on 1st shift and will be completed before joining the weekend/holiday rotation. Either an MT/MLS or MLT candidate is acceptable and no experience is required
About Us:
ProHealth Care offers a system-wide laboratory operation with core hospital labs at Waukesha Memorial and Oconomowoc Memorial as well as two clinic-based laboratory sites in Waukesha County. The laboratory performs over 8 million tests annually.
Our Lab services operate state of the art facilities and include clinical testing in the areas of Histology, Cytology, Hematology, Coagulation, Clinical Chemistry, Urinalysis, Immunoassay, Microbiology, Transfusion service, EIA, and Molecular Biology. ProHealth Care offers a vibrant outreach program, providing laboratory testing to numerous specialty hospitals, physician offices, nursing home, and assisted living facilities. Our Pathologists and PhDs work closely with lab employees to monitor quality, as well as identify, access, and implement new technology. The Laboratory has certification and accreditation through the College of American Pathologists (CAP), American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA).

What You Will Do:
Medical Technologists, or Medical Laboratory Scientists, perform moderate to high complexity testing within the Clinical Laboratory. Prepares samples for examination, using automated equipment and specialized instrumentation. Performs numerous complicated tests simultaneously; accurately evaluates correlates and interprets test results.
Requirements:
Bachelors degere in Medical Laboratory Technology
Medical Technologist (MT) certification issued by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or
Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification issued by the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP BOC) needs to be obtained within 6 months, or
Medical Technologist (MT) certification issued by the American Medical Technologists (AMT) needs to be obtained within 6 months
Under approved circumstances, an extension may be granted for an additional 6 months.
