The University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center seeks a Facilities Specialist.
This position will assist with the management of laboratory buildings, equipment maintenance, and training on specialized confocal microscope.
The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge of laboratory safety, standard laboratory equipment, and University of Kentucky space and property inventory procedures.

Microsoft Suite, especially Outlook, Excel and Word, wet lab equipment, wet lab troubleshooting with lab equipment. Experience with various imaging systems and microscopes, ability to communicate and teach record keeping, and attention to detail. Knowledge of lab equipment, attention to detail, knowledge of biohazard safety. Knowledge of lab space, ability to learn names of researchers and lab staff. Knowledge of lab safety procedures and compliance regulations.
