Job Summary:

Join an established group of 5 Pathologists.

Responsibilities:

• Overall diagnostic assay development and validation
• New technology assessment in assigned areas
• Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology and Point of Care Testing
• Effective administration, coordination and communication of all business, technical and clinical aspect of the laboratory operations
• Ensure the recording and reporting of test results promptly, accurately and proficiently
• Assuring compliance with all applicable regulations
• Travel to network hospitals and other sites, as needed

Job Qualifications:

• MD/DO/PhD
• Board Certification
• NYS Licensure
• NYSDOH COQ
• 2 years experience in high-complexity NYSDOH, TJC or CAP accredited lab required
• Prior experience as a Laboratory Director and/or Generalist Clinical Lab Technologist preferred
• Experience running, validating and clinical reporting of molecular assays required
