The successful candidates will have the opportunity to be members of a multidisciplinary, cohesive group of immunology researchers through the Applied Immunology Center for Education and Research program (AICER) https://com.msu.edu/info/research-scholarly-activity/emerging-research-area-strength-aicer). AICER represents a vibrant, collaborative, inclusive immunological scientific community with basic research, translational and clinical expertise spanning multiple areas including, infectious disease, autoimmunity, imaging, cancer immunology and neuroinflammation, among others. Successful candidates will be offered positions in COM-affiliated departments, including Microbiology and Microbial Genetics, Physiology, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Neurology, among others. MSU has much to offer including a 9-month covered salary and many core resources, including in metabolomics, proteomics, drug discovery and screening, translational medicine, flow cytometry, genomics (including single-cell), transgenics, microscopy, high-performance computing, among others. MSU has a strong history of collaboration with local hospitals, is part of a regional health care network and has multiple opportunities in international research. We are seeking applications from leaders in diverse areas of immunology. Candidates conducting translational research or research with translatable potential are highly desirable and would be considered for additional designation as a Patenge Endowed Faculty member, with additional research support directed from the endowment to the efforts of the candidate.

Candidates must have a doctoral degree (PhD, ScD, DVM, DO, MD or equivalent).
Desired Qualifications
The successful applicant will have a record of outstanding scholarship and leadership with ability to maintain a highly productive and extramurally funded research program. Applicant will display excellent communication skills as a member of the AICER research community and contribute to the teaching and service missions of the university. Experience in international research will also be highly desirable.
