A postdoctoral position in virology is available immediately to join a newly established and highly dynamic research group of Dr. Jared Evans in the Department of Pathology and Microbiology, University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Medicine. The research will focus on virus emergence through elucidating host interactions, pathogenesis, and evolution mechanisms. Our laboratory employs novel microfluidic droplet technologies to characterize individual infection events in single cells. Further, our laboratory has state-of-the-art BSL-2 and -3 facilities, which are fully equipped to carry out cutting-edge infectious disease studies. In addition, we have access to a wide variety of research core facilities. Lab website:https://www.unmc.edu/pathology/faculty/bios/evans.html
