The Department of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology (MCDB) at Yale University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2023. The Department welcomes applications from candidates who investigate any biological system and who will contribute to the diversity and excellence of our community of scholars. We are particularly interested in candidates pioneering research at the interface of biology, the physical sciences and technology development, which include synthetic biology, genomic sciences, gene editing, and stem cell biology. We also encourage applications from anyone whose interests synergize with the broad interests of the MCDB faculty that include plant biology, developmental biology, neurobiology, cell biology, microbiology, molecular biology, chemical biology, genetics, and biotechnology. This search is part of a larger hiring initiative to advance areas of academic priorities and expand the diversity and excellence of faculty at Yale. The MCDB department is located in a new state-of-the-art research building with exceptional facilities for carrying out a wide range of experimental and computational investigations.
