Medical Instrument Technician (GI)
The Medical Instrument Technician-Gastroenterology (MIT-GI) is assigned to the GI Lab, which is organizationally responsible to Nursing Services. The MIT-GI at this level aid the staff with procedures which are routine and standardized in nature. They explain the procedure to the patient to secure the patient's confidence and cooperation; position patients for procedures; and restock linen and consumable supplies. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
