The Rockefeller University seeks a Research Assistant (Salary Range: $46K-$50K) to join Genetically Encoded Small Molecules. The Laboratory of Genetically Encoded Small Molecules uses methods from molecular biology, organic chemistry, and microbiology to access and study bioactive molecules from the human microbiome. The research group is seeking applicants for the position of a full-time Research Assistant (RA) with a passion for scientific research. The position will involve a range of techniques including mammalian tissue culture, molecular biology, animal (mouse) work, and chemistry; applicants with experience in these areas are strongly encouraged to apply.

Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in biology, microbiology, biochemistry, or a related field, and be familiar with working in a laboratory environment. Applicants with additional training (Master's degree) or prior laboratory technician experience will be favored. The ideal applicant will be comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively with others.
