Position Summary:
The Department of Biological Sciences at The University of Alabama seeks to hire four instructors for 9-month non-tenure track positions. The appointments will be on a one-year renewable contract. Depending on area of expertise and previous teaching experience, the successful applicant may teach non-majors and/or related lab course sections, and/or assist with teaching lecture or lab sections for the majors Principles of Biology courses. Other teaching duties associated with the courses may be required. Applicants must hold a minimum of an M.S. degree in Biology or related disciplines and have at least 1 year of teaching experience.

Depending on area of expertise and previous teaching experience, the successful applicant may teach non-majors Introductory Biology, non-majors and/or related lab course sections, and/or assist with teaching lecture or lab sections for the majors Principles of Biology courses. Other teaching duties associated with the non-majors Microbiology courses may be required. Other courses in the candidate's area of expertise may be considered. Applicants must hold a minimum of an M.S. degree in Biology or related disciplines and have at least 1 year of teaching experience.
