Under minimal supervision, responds to complex scientific inquiries and resolves method/instrument issues. The successful candidate will conduct research activities and take a leading role in method development and high throughput analyses using whole genome sequencing and bioinformatics technologies applied in varied research and development settings to detect, differentiate, evaluate functional capacity, growth conditions and more, of food microbiomes, human gut microbiomes, soil and plant microbiomes. The successful candidate will also take a lead role in drafting science papers/presentations for scientific and professional meetings and assist in communicating research findings to University and Government stakeholders and industry members. Candidate with experience microbiology, genetics, bioinformatics, nutritional biochemistry, molecular biology, is preferred.
