POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATES AT THE UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA
The University of Florida is seeking two highly motivated postdoctoral research associates to conduct citrus genome editing to generate transgene-free Huanglongbing (HLB) resistant/tolerant citrus varieties using the CRISPR technology and to study the molecular mechanism of citrus and Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus (CLas) interactions. The successful candidate will be working at the University of Florida’s Citrus Research and Education Center (https://crec.ifas.ufl.edu/) near Orlando. Responsibilities: Primary research responsibilities will be to conduct transgene-free genome editing of citrus using the cutting-edge CRISPR technologies by editing target genes identified by the Wang lab, regenerate the edited plants, and evaluate the edited lines for HLB resi
