A Postdoctoral Research Scientist position is available in the Iketani Lab at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases, the Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center (ADARC), to work on developing high-throughput strategies to address pandemic preparedness as well as virological discovery efforts. The position will entail working on ongoing funded projects while also working with the PI to design and implement new projects of mutual interest. The Lab has a successful track record of working on many aspects of SARS-CoV-2, such as drug resistance, and these successes will serve as the basis for some of the projects moving forward. However, the Lab is also broadly open to working on other topics of the candidate?s interest, and such potential projects can be discussed during interviews.

PhD or equivalent in microbiology, virology, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with viruses in a BSL2 or BSL3 setting
Experience working with large datasets, such as through next-generation sequencing
Team-oriented with good conversational and interpersonal skills
