Job Summary An Infection Prevention Spec. I who, under the supervision of the Infection Control leadership, assists with functions required developing and implementing an effective Infection Control Program. Collaborates with department/unit leadership to identify and mitigate infection risks, perform surveillance and epidemiological investigations, assess educational needs, and communicate clinical performance for the assigned department/units/service line.
Minimum Qualifications
Degrees: B.S. in Microbiology or Masters in Public Health required; (Medical Technologist preferred) Master's Degree in Public Health
Licenses & Certifications: Related specialty certification infection control required within two years of employment
Work Experience: Two (2) years work experience
Management Experience: Two (2) years management experience in a related field preferred
Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact) , Exceptional Verbal (Public Speaking), Writing/Correspondence, Writing/Reports
Proficiencies: P.C., MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
