Medical Technician - Phlebotomy
The Medical Technician performs specimen collection, processing, accessioning and waived testing in one of the facilities within the Tucson VA Medical Center, Tucson, AZ. The Medical Technician rotates with other technicians through the above-mentioned areas and may also be required to work off-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays as priorities demonstrate a need. In order to qualify for this position at the GS-5 level you must meet the following: ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY: In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7402(d), No person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English.
